Quicktime 7.1.6 update NOT FUN for Max
hi list,
in a moment that clearly highlights my wisdom, I let the latest
Quicktime update install before discovering if it would affect any of
my beloved applications. sure enough, Max no longer opens.
MacBook Pro
OSX 10.4.9
I'm fairly certain I have the latest Max/MSP/Jitters installed, but
can't confirm as the app won't upon.

earlier, and posting in the osx 10.4.9 update thread...if you wanna
drop these newy updates on yr system, and still use max, check this out

It's the same Pace issue as with 10.4.9. The same pre-binding script works:

My Max still runs, just made the update.
I run Max 4.6 on a PowerBook G4. Perhaps it is an IntelMac issue... Seemly not the only issue with IntelMac - my 4 month old iMac just gave out fo' real last sunday.
But the PB runs fine on QT 7.1.6.

Interesting!!!
I installed the combo10.4.9 (downloaded) and now the QT 7.1.6 from the software update and max (max/msp 4.6.2 jitter 1.6.2) runs fine with out any need for prebinding scripts on a MacBook Pro.
