Quicktime and Flash

Does anyone know what is going on with the newest version of Quicktime and
Flash support?

I know the whole "Enable Flash" option in the Sys Prefs, thats not the
issue. My MIME settings seem proper also.

I am authoring with Flash MX 2004, and I can neither output as a quicktime
movie, nor open the swf files in QT.

Im flumoxed.

Ive read a bit online about things, but nothing that really addresses this
issue.

Any ideas fellow maxers?

Thanks,
Computo

There's a note in the documentation (probably in the Tutorials
chapter) which notes that QuickTime's Flash support is limited to
Flash 5/ActionScript 1.0. You'll need to save your swf in this format
for them to function.

Thanks Jeremy,

That helps fix one issue but raises, potentially dozens more!

Flash 5 doesnt support embedded video files, so it renders my project
somewhat useless.

Is there a way to use quicktime player to combine a swf and an mov, and
retain the functionality of the swf?

I remember when Flash and quicktime worked like butter together....sigh....
