Real Sound Synthesis for Interactive Applications book (Perry Cook)
I've had this book on my read list for a LONG time, just wondering if it's still the best one for learning more about physical modelling, or can anyone recommend something newer and more relevant?
That's a good start if physical modelling is your main interest. The whole Synthesis Toolkit is worth a look ( https://ccrma.stanford.edu/software/stk/ ).
You might like Andy Farnell's book too. While it's not focussed on physical modelling, specifically, it does have a lot about synthesizing real-world sounds.
