Real time cumulative audio

Hello all,

Apologies if this is a really easy question but have been hunting high and low and couldn't find anything!

I'm wanting to use MAX to record real time audio. There will be a number of speakers attached to amps and people will record short sound bites in real time into a microphone input attached to the MAC which upon being recorded will then loop constantly. Basically the different voices will form a cumulative effect - a patchwork quilt of sound bites which will then be replayed through the speakers.

I had considered using logic but I know this will be slightly limited in terms of the amount of memory so MAX was recommended. I've used it a little but i'm afraid i'm a bit of a novice and haven't used it for this kind of activity before so any advice would be gratefully received!

Many thanks in anticipation!
