Real time waveform display
sup chico,
Im looking to try and build a device that will allow for realtime display of the waveforms generated in max. The goal being that i want a tool for live performance collaborations that can display for an audience the individual performers waveform and then the interaction of these waveforms. Any help at all would be great i dont even know what objects i should be looking towards.
thanks
Try using record~, buffer~, waveform~ and groove~. They work well together.
check also jitter tutorial 27, and change "Horizontal scan rate" parameter
I am using a waveform~ recording live straight from the adc~ to the a record~ into a buffer~. Which is read by a groove~. Nothing very fancy...
It was working more than well on max 4.6.3.
Now I need to update to max7 as there is no way to use this version on new macbook anymore as I can't install snow leopard anymore and max 4.6.3 stopped working with LION and later versions. But my waveform is super glitchy..... not smooth at all, always zooming in/zooming outwhen live recording and that is highly annoying (and close to impossible) to perform live in that situation. Has anyone any idea how to smooth that up and make it work just like in the good old days ?
