Realtime audio communication between pro tools LE and max msp

Hello,

Is there any way to create realtime audio communication busses between max/MSP and Pro Tools LE ?

My hope is to do realtime multichannel treatment in max while playing sounds in Pro Tools.

Jack doesn't seem to know any other audio drivers than CoreAudio : it's ports do not appear in the PT i/o

Could it be possible to create ins and outs though RTAS pluggo.
(One for send, one for receive, with a different channel number for each instance)

If someone has any practicle solution, it would be great.

Thanks

And Jack OS X ( http://jackosx.com )...

EXCEPT that pro tools does not work with core audio, so none of these tools will work for you. There are ways of getting it to work, but they are so time consuming to set up and such a pain that its not really worth it in my opinion (ie use jackOSX's VST or AU I/O plugin inside a VST-to-RTAS wrapper in Pro tools or a VST/AU host rewire slaved to PT, then connect it to Max using jack on a separate, non-pro tools audio interface that is clock-synced to the pro tools audio interface via S/PDIF or something...)

But, for this purpose Logic or some other core audio compliant sequencer will work just fine using jackOSX - i do this often with Logic 8 or Mainstage for performing.

rewire would be the only way, as ProTools doesn't know anything about
drivers (only how to block their own hardware out if ProTools runs...)
Neither Soundflower nor Jack will work for that reason...

I would create plug-ins, but for the moment you'd have to create them in
Max 4.6.3...
