Record sound from Iphone
Hello,
I am looking for a way to use my Iphone microphone as audio input for Max.
So far the only app I found which can acces the Iphone microphone is the c74 app, which hasn't been updated in a while and can not connect with the microphone in IOS 7.
Does anyone know if it is possible to connect to the microphone and send sound with the TouchOSC app?
I am trying to make an application where you can record sound from one phone, save it on the computer and later send it to another phone.
Your help is much appreciated as I have become stuck on this issue.
Thank you
You could probably accomplish this with a collection of apps.. Start with an airplay microphone app like AirPlay Intercom (http://www.vonbruno.com/intercom). This app is made to send audio to an airplay device like an Airport wireless router or an AppleTV. You can create a virtual airplay server with Airfoil Speakers (http://rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/mac/). Set the Mac or PC airplay server as the destination in the iPhone Airplay intercom app. Then get the audio in to Max with Soundflower for Mac (https://cycling74.com/products/soundflower/) or a similar program in Windows.
There will likely be substantial latency, as airplay is really slow.
Happy Patching!
