Record to mp3

Anyone know if this is possible using a MSP or Jitter object. I'm looking for a cross platform solution.

Thanks,

John.

Hi John

There is a javaclass called Mp3Enc listed on maxobjects.com

I think it could work for you, assuming you can record wav/aif to disk, then convert to mp3 and then delete the source file. Or do you need on the fly encoding?

On the fly would be great, but i'll look into the Java option.

Thanks,

John.

i don't know if Audiohijack is cross platform, but it's an easier solution then building something in max. Google on audiohijack pro and try. I use this program now and it works fine
