Recording Max Runtime (Ppooll) into Logic Pro 9

Hi,

I've been attempting to record audio from Ppooll into Logic Pro 9 without much luck - i've seen the previous forum suggestion but it's given me no joy - https://cycling74.com/forums/routing-a-signal-from-max-runtime-directly-to-logic-pro/

I'm using the latest versions of Max and Runtime and I've made sure to load Logic before opening Max but nothing so far. I can hear the audio from ppooll but it's not showing up in Logic.

Any other suggestions?

Hope someone can help, thanks!

Do you HAVE to record it into logic? The "rec@" act works ok enough but I suppose if you really wanted to you could open up the dsp-settings in the ppooll host and set it to output to a routing application like c74's "soundflower" and set logic to receive from there.
Does that seem to work? I don't have a mac to test it on, sorry.

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the reply and the soundflower tip. I don't have to record into Logic but i do find it gives me a lot more options, especially if i want to sync and record a ppooll performance to an existing track.

I've downloaded soundflower and routed everything as suggested but i'm still not getting an audio signal into logic, although as i can still hear the signal from ppooll i'm thinking i might be missing something simple. Does Runtime automatically output through Max? And if i'm running 24 bit Logic would 32 bit signal coming from soundflower be a problem?
