maybe i am missing something very basic but i am trying to record audio into mp3 file and can not find any solution - found mp3 encoder but that doesn't seem to "record" only convert..

if there is some solution i overlooked, i would be really grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction..

If you're talking about my Java Mp3 Encoder, it's not a 'realtime' 

process. It works like a batch converter at the moment.

But Ali Momeini made great stuff dealing with real-time mp3 encoding (if 

i remember well) & streaming. You could find his mail on the list
