reproducable crash + reproducable freeze

Dunno if its just me. ver 4.5.1.

Freeze: Using the scroll wheel on my mouse = instant freeze. Can forcefully close max 'gracefully' and open it again like it didnt crash. Everything works fine except mouse-wheel scrolling.

Crash: With trace enabled, open just about anything that came with max. should freeze. if not, it will crash. if it doesnt, things go a bit strange until you turn trace off, then it crashes hard. (or freezes, take your pick!)

any ideas?

ver 4.5.7 now...
the trace bug seems to be fixed, i can't get it to crash at all, so perhaps that was fixed.

the mouse wheel freezing still occurs though.

Forgot to note specs.

Win XP SP2
2GB ram
20gb hdd
200gb hdd
quadruple 19" lcd
ps/2 keyboard

3 mice currently installed but only one connected at once..
(labtec usb, unknown usb and logitech cordless usb) (maybe this is the source of the problems? i will test with other mice later. this is happening on the labtec mouse)

max also crashes mousewheel scrolling in the 'new object' list.
max also crashes mousewheel scrolling with any mouse i have.

Hmm - I can't reproduce. Scrolling works fine here.
I know we fixed it in the not too distant past.
Anybody else having problems?
