rewire~ Unable to open Rewire subsystem, error: 100
Hi
just thought I'd have a mess with Reason and Max today. Searched my Reason3 folder and there is no rewire.dll file, and in Max, the [rewire~] object gives the above error.
Has this happened to anyone?
Brendan

hi
Trying to connect with reason 5(32 bits) from max 7(32 bits)/Win10 64 bits. in addition to this one error, when trying ad_rewire: "Rewire system not installed" "Check Rewire installation and restart Max". I have searched up and down the forum, loads of threads on this topic, and still have no clue what may be wrong, something to do with max I think, it wont connect with cubase either, whereas reason and cubase rewire fine.
any help is really appreciated, and please excuse my sketchy english
peace
Hi, I'm curious, did you ever find a fix for this? I'm having the same issue with Max 8 & Windows 10. ReWire is recognised fine in other applications, but won't load in Max - here's the errors I get when trying to load ad_rewire driver in audio status: "ReWire system not installed." "Check ReWire installation and restart Max."
I've checked all the .dll, and .config files and as far as I can tell everything seems to be in the right place. Wondering if you ever found a solution to your issue?
Hey there, folks.
I just discovered this thread, after doing an internet search for ReWire in Max/MSP. Unicorpse, I'm getting the same werror message as you when I attempt to use Max 7 as a ReWire client in Cakewalk Music Creator. That being said, I'm not even sure where to look for the dll. and config files. I'd love to have Max shake hands with Cakewalk, as I have yet to find a truly efficient way to record and play my Max 7 software synth in and out of a DAW.
