Running max app in background
Is it possible to run max app in the background and that it will also not appear in the winodws taskbar? if not what are the other possibilities for running max patches in the background ?
So I found this option which indeed hide it from the taskbar. Is it also possible to minimize it show the patch will not be visable at all?
Thanks. I try "Pedro Santos patch from that post and it works fine. For some reason when I try to send data between the hidden standalone app and some other match patch the data is not pass through (using send and receive)
why should that work ?
in Max send - receive is only working within a single app.
you will need other communication options, midi,
OSC, whatever.
And no one actually managed to create completelly hidden max standalone app.
Which in fact makes no sense.
any trouble one could face on unknown system, will remain without any
chance of taking a look at what is wrong or missing.

true, it did not work. I used standalone object and untick in the inspector the "status windows visable.."
that won't prevent users from openning it.
you have to remove it from windows menu by modifiying maxinterface.json file,
which is a bit different for different max versions.

you can even delete maxinterfaces file.
but I can't tell you exactly not knowing what GUI elements you have in the patcher
