Running MAX/MSP off a single board computer?
So for my capstone project I'm trying to make my own programable guitar pedal. I also don't want a "computer" involved (like a laptop, tablet, etc.) And after doing alot of research I came accross someone who got Pd to work on a Raspberry Pi. I then saw that a Raspberry Pi can also run Windows 10 so I thought, "ooow sweet I can run Max" but then after doing more research I realized you can't because they have ARM processors. The other day though I stumbled upon this board called MinnowBoard Max (the max part I'm sure is just a coincidence) this board though is more powerful and can run windows and it also has a 64-bit Intel®Atom™ E3800 (Bay Trail-I) processor so before I buy all of this would I be able to run Max on this board? because I would muuuch rather work with Max than Pd.
Here's another one which might work: http://www.gizmosphere.org/products/gizmo-2/
FWIW I chose the pd route myself.
Running windows on an underpowered machine seemed a bad idea.
It was still a world of pain but I got there in the end!
The good thing about the pi and pure data route is that there is at least a small community.
Getting audio in and out to work can be tricky though.

Good Luck.

The thing they discusse has a touchscreen but it is $129 and having a screen and keyboard can be an advantage for certain circumstances.
