Save 2 presets & coll in 1 file?
Rather new in MAX. Know a little how to play but not how to store.
I have a parent and a child patch. Both have their own preset and the child has a coll. Presets and coll save their things to file in their own format. Is there a way to combine the three files (2x preset + 1x coll) in 1 file to save and so later 1 file to load?
Not easily. You might be able to patch something together that behaved as you suggested, but there would be a fair amount of work involved.
However, if you're new to Max, you may want to look at the tutorials/docs on Collectives. This is not exactly what you asked for, but it does provide a way for collecting all your files into a single document. Whether this would actually serve your purpose I cannot say.
Good luck,
P.
Well, collectives are a way of saving your patchers as fi. an application, isn't it? What I need is saving my data and presets from within an application that includes two patchers. And I would love to save de data from those 2 patchers in one save-file. Looking at pattrstorage now, but that wan't save coll.
But thx for your answer.

Not really. I would recommend starting to look at the autopattr/pattr/
pattrstorage world for saving patcher state. If your patcher was
constructed properly, it would let you roll up all your changes into
one .xml file.
