Screen sharing from 4 computers, sent to one 4 way splitscreen?
Hi everyone!
Jitter newbie here.
This is a totally hypothetical question, as I don't know if this is is something that can be done in Max/Jitter but I'm looking for a way to capture 4 different screens (make real-time screen movies from different computers) and amalgamate them into a 4 way split-screen live video that I project in a performance (the setup for the piece is 4 performers at there laptops and I want the audience to be able to see what they're all doing in real time by only using 1 projector).
Does anyone have any suggestions? Even if you know a way that doesn't involve Jitter, that would be great. I'm looking to be able to make some sort of patch that does this rather than using a conference calling app like Skype.
Thanks in advance!!

You're either looking at 4 capture cards to take in the signal from each of these laptops and then some reframing in jitter of the matrices, I'd suggest the jit.glue and jit.scissors tutorial OR you can use some kind of VNC program that allows you to look at multiple clients simultaneously and throw up their screens.
Consider TeamViewer's meeting function, the capture card route will be cleaner but also expensive.
Thanks Aaron! Will look into these options
