Scripting question...

Is it posible to align connections (apple-Y) with scripting? I couldn't find it in the thispatcher help file or the scripting documentation. It would be nice to have neatly segemented patchcords for a visiual display which I am trying to script.

Also I noticed that connect color doesn't seem to work directly, the patch unlock/lock status must be changed in order for the connection color to be affected by the (allready sent) script command. I'm using Max 4.5.7 and OS 10.3.9 on a G4 powerbook.

TIA,
Jonny

You might want to have a look at Max Toolbox. I never took some time
to have a closer look inside, so I don't know how it's done, but
since it can align objects (and lot of other useful things) you may
find a solution there. Anyway, Nathanael's Max Toolbox is great so
I'm glad to promote this :-)

hth,

Julien.

Missed this message while I was in France. Unfortunately it is not possible to align patchcords using scripting as of yet. Would be a nice thing indeed.

Julien : thanks for the nice words, always glad to see people enjoying the toolbox :)

Crikey, have we really had 'align patchcords' for 5 years?!
I have only relatively recently discovered it, and was wondering the same thing - any chance could we could have it scriptable, please? Max 6, perhaps...?
cheers
Roger

P.S. Love Toolbox too.
