script send to widget inside bpatcher

For some reasons I have bpatchers in my patch with the same argument and I need to access them via script sends. So I tried sending something like this to the thispatcher on the main level:

script send bpatchername buttonname set state

But this doesn't work for me. Is that even possible? Or is there a workaround for that situation?
