separate patch windows in Max4Live?
Hi all,
...just wondering.....
I know Max4Live is still potentially some way off, and I have read all the articles I can find, and posts here and on other forums, but I cannot find any information yet on whether you will be able to have secondary windows open for max4live patches in a 'performance', not 'edit' mode in Live. I see that you can build guis for the device window in Live, but my idea is to have a separate 17" touchscreen gui.
If this will be possible, I can 'hopefully' encapsulate all my max bits and bobs into Live with Max4Live, rather than having a bridge between Ableton and Max/MSP to run a gui, communicating via midi.
Knowing the answer to this question would enable me to move forward on quite a big project in either one direction or the other, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.
If this is not known at this moment in time...no worries.. I'm sure I can find some other geeky programming area to delve into for a few days/weeks/months (I narrowly missed getting drawn into python scripting the other day...)!
Kind regards,
Leigh
Check out the Max for Live video on the Ableton site around 4:33. They have a floating window.
Oh, so they do... I thought originally that it was part of the ableton window, but it is indeed floating on top.
Thanks for pointing it out.
