Just like many before me on this forum, I'd like to set the drivers with a Max device at Live opening.

The driver's name is "UMC ASIO Driver", as it appears in the audio preferences

or "UMC404HD", its name in the driver control panel 

But I'm really unconfortable with the dsp thing, I guess I don't understand it at all !

a bang to it results only in "Live" and "None"

Max4live has no control over hardware  driver choice.

Is there any other way to set the driver in Live, like with a command line, a python script...? 

maybe script to write audio I/O  preferences 

Thanks that's good idea! I can't figure out how to achieve that yet. There's a options.txt file but nothing about driver setting. I'll ask on the ableton forum.
