Forgive me. I am a long time max user but apparently very rusty. I am trying to make a sort of virtual sostenuto pedal. Currently I am storing all held notes when the sostenuto pedal is pushed. I have the option of holding repeated notes or not, But I can't figure this part out....

After holding the sostenuto pedal I want to be able to filter and/or route the held notes from the midi stream. Something that is easy with match if there is only one value set. How do I do it with multiple items? Ie. if midi notes 67, 73, and 21 were currently held while pressing the sostenuto pedal, then how do I split out those notes while also passing non matching values out another outlet? I thought there was a zl.match or zl.routepass or something, but can't figure it out. Maybe there is a new-fangled mc.object?

On release, wipe it using zlclear or send -1 to it.

try zl filter

And  send note off for all ex held notes.


[route] and [select] allow to set an argument when they only have one argument typed in by default. you could use that for 3 or 5 notes in a chord, too, by using 5 of these objects.
