setting exportimage compression
Hi,
i need to save many tiffs in a folder, and I counted on the
'exportimage' message to a jit.matrix to do this. Only thing is that I
need to set the compression to 'none' or the equivalent.
Exportimage gives me a choice between the default settings (with
compression) or forcing a dialog for each tiff. I use it to render
large image files, one for each frame of a (35mm) film, so setting the
compression manually for each frame is not an option.
If I set it once manually, the settings don't 'stick' for the
subsequent frames, and I'd rather do it programmatically anyway, so
that I can't forget to set it..
Is there another aproach I could think of which gives me large series
of uncompressed tifffs ?
I tried saving one-frame-movies from jit.qt.record, but those give me
quicktime movie-files, not tiff files, and those won't do, even if they
contain the right data.
Can I change the (default) settings for exportimage somehow ?
help GREATLY appreciated,
thanks,
Joost.

I have the exact same question (and need). I would like to automatically store images from a jit.matrix as TIFF files with the option "256 grays". I will export lots of files, so going through the dialog is not a good option. Has this been implemented, or could it be?
Thanks,
Alexander
