setting range or scale of kslider? Ribbon Controller esque.

I looked all over but maybe I'm not searching the right terms.

Is there a way to set a range of the notes in a kslider for different presets? Let's say I want all 88 keys for one or maybe just one octave for another.

I'm using a slider to do monophonic glides but I need to limit or remove certain keys for different applications.

Is there a way to limit certain notes per preset, so you can build different scales.

Thanks

Hi

Max Patch
Copy patch and select New From Clipboard in Max.

you can use a 'range $1' message to change the number of keys available and you can use an offset message to transpose the octave. Not sure if this helps?

Ok cool this is working well. Thank you.

Any clues as to being able to select specific notes to be played after an overall rage is selected? Also, anyway to limit a slider to the range of keys selected?

Try this, you will need to tinker a little as the slider goes beyond the range of the kslider but it should be a simple matter of adding one or subtracting one here and there.
