I'm trying to set up midi output for the Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB device on Windows 7 (32bit). I get it configured for different audio softwares like Toontrack Beatstation and also receive midi events from Scarlett 2i4, but I don't get any midi sound inside Max 6.1.

What I did: I defined inside "Audio status" window the asio driver ("ad_asio Focusrite USB2.0 Audio Driver") as described in the "MSP: Audio Input and Output tutorial" (

https://cycling74.com/docs/max5/tutorials/msp-tut/mspaudioio.html).

 Then I used the MIDI tester to produce a sound. With the Focusrite as output device, there is no sound produced (also no error message), but with other synthesizers (such as Microsoft Synthesizer) the sound works.

I'll attach screenshots of the different settings just described.

Perhaps I'm just missing a basic configuration. Anyone could help ?
