sfctrl~

In those old days there was an external called sfctrl~ which is not any more included in the current MaxMSP distributions.

Does anyone out there know whether there exists a Mac OS X version of this external?

I imagine you have already checked but maxobjects seems to think there is although I haven't tried it. What extra functionality did it provide?

Hallo Karlheinz,
I don't know about sfctrl~, but in Max5 you can now use the Max4 Quicktime playbar object to control sfplay~.

The link in maxobjects.com points to an IRCAM server which is not available any more. BTW, sfctrl~ had a cool voice-stealing algorithm which cannot be achieved by playbar.
