sfrecord~
whenever i try to record to a format that isnt sd2, the file recorded has a negative duration, and refuses to play in anything!?!?
any ideas?
In general sfrecord~ is working. I believe that you might not be
using the object correctly. Your previously sent patch works fine for
me if I disconnect the HI reference, turn on the ADC, click the open
file message, send 1 to sfrecord~ to start recording, and then send 0
to sfrecord to stop recording. Perhaps you are not sending the
message 0 to sfrecord~ close the file when you are done recording
(this is essential). Or alternately you are creating files larger
than the 32bit limit. These are the two most plausible explanations,
but if you can provide a more detailed example (which actually shows
a sequence of events rather than something like your last patch,
which is just a connection with the HI object, that doesn't explain
how you are triggering the messages), we can investigate further.
