shader forum?

Hello to everyone!
I have been following this forum for a while but just recently I have started posting on it. This thread is more a suggestion than a question.
I have noticed that there is a growing interest into the shader writing and I have the sensation that we are missing a specific forum for it, something similar to what the vvvv community has. I think this might be a better way to take profit from the guru's advices and simplify the information research on the topic.
Anyway, this is just a small suggestion.
Thank you for all the fantastic information posted in this forum.

I think this is a good idea, there's the javascript in max so why not put jitter specific shader questions in it's own place??? I'll even offer my assistance in sorting the current jitter forum.

I agree, I often do searches for jxs or "shader" or "glsl" or the like, and I would love to be able to go directly to a forum just for those things. I feel that shaders are different enough from jitter and max core that they do relate more to the java/javascript level of difference, and thus if java and JS have forums, then I agree that shaders should have a forum. Especially since they are starting to become more popular.

+1 I'm just getting into jitter shaders - I have no idea what the general workflow for building them is (and I'm still debating between purely texture, or vertex based shaders too).

A forum collecting all the jitter shader knowledge would be great! The 'My First Shader' article is nice, but I'm still kind of confused as to the best way to write and test shaders - plus any weird little tricks would be good to have, too.

only if they bring the pluggo forum back to visible mode :)

+1 I've been overhearing a lot of interest in people wanting more information about slabs/shaders and think consolidating it in it's own section is a great idea!

Thanks for the feedback.

Just a quick note to say that this request is registered. Not sure about when it will be addressed, as we have a couple of different ideas about various ways to handle this. In the meantime, searching on shader is best.

Right now we are extremely focused on the next Max release. Thanks for your patience with areas like this, but please continue to give us feedback to make the forums and the software better.
