hi,

here's a part of a patch i used for our last work.
it's made from the shepard-risset's acoustic paradox.

enjoy...

Very nice!
I managed it with cycle, but i can't have a stable sound using pieces of an aiff. (nevermind)
I was wondering about how to do nice shepar tones in max, which volume-window to use and all that, so this might be useful for me when i'll integrate this shepar mood in my blur additive synth. (posted here as well)
Thanks!

3 ways to use sample.

1- inside glissando~
just switch Glissando to Glissando~
load sound
play with it. manage with smooth for very slow evolution.
you can try preset 19 for this with drumloop.aif.

2- with groove

3- with play in the instrument patch. but in that case you have to manage with smooth for a good result (because play~ is driven by float not by signal).
nota : it appears i forgot to disconnect [in~ 1] in the p-Play poly. it's why it doesn't work well...

Shepard rhythm !
Fantastick ! never ending rhythm acceleration..
Very interesting, i've never thought about that.
it's delicate to adjust, but so much sounds to explore then.
Even if I just understand a third of your patch, and that the shepard kind of "freeze" very often with some settings. And very high cpu utilization 30-50% (on MBP core duo 2.4Ghz)
