[sharing is pride] My first waveguide
This might not seem terribly important to the pros but it makes me happy!
`
Would love to hear it, but mat.freq2samples is not included.
I always do that! Ok fixed it.
Nice as always Matt - is waveguide the same as karplus strong? I always thought it was something more complex.
I was wondering about this... I *think* it's a waveguide if it emulates the impulse travelling down and then back up the string.. The idea is that delays A B and C emulate the impulse traveling one way, and the D E and F emulate the impulse traveling the other.
I could be very wrong about that.. I was looking at figure 1 here:
lib.tkk.fi/Diss/2000/isbn9512251965/article1.pdf
Thanks for this - it works alright as a filtered delay line for audio inputs, too :) Cheap solution as well.
Been playing around with this today, and thought I should share it:
"no patcher poly.waveguide_string"
Nice. Thanks... Haven't really had the chance to get very deeply into gen~ yet, but these patches are a big help for when I (eventually) get the time...
Just a heads up though, that the naming of the poly subpatch and the gen~dsp patch need to be altered as they are inconsistent with what the main patch is looking for: (gen.patcher: could not find gen patcher waveguide_string, poly~: no patcher poly.waveguide_string).
great patch. here is a zipped version
nice. this is pretty neat.
also; don't attempt to edit the sympathy feedback... trust me, my speakers are angry at me right now.
Very... very.. cool.
Extremely wonderful patch but it accumulates feedback gain when you hit the same note a few times. Anyone has any idea how to solve this?
The problem derives from the gen~ waveguide_string patch...
just going through the gen examples and BAM! I'm credited. Just wanted to say thanks for that.
I FINALLY MADE IT.
(At least to yafa levels of fame.)
uploading the result remains the most difficult taks of all.
@raja, Ahhhh now I get it!
@roman, afraid I don't follow.
