Really nice patch.

Crashed Max 4.6.2 and Jitter 1.6.2 for me when I closed it though.

Thanks for the report Anton (and very nice patch, Matthew). I've
located the problem and the fix will be in the next release. In the
meantime, be sure to turn off audio when closing buffer~ based
patches on multi-core MacTel machines.

Nice patch kudos from me too - just a note to Joshua that it crashed
on quit for me too, on a G5 2x2.5 GHz machine. So not just
Macintel...

Thanks. To be honest, the source of this crash could also affect even
single core machines and possibly for the past 9 years, but to my
knowledge, we never got such reports until now, so it seems like the
particular threading conditions that lead to this crash are more
likely on multi-core UB (though perhaps not exclusively).

FWIW, crashes for me on PB PPC 1.67

Could you explain a little bit of what you did in the PFFT~ subpatch. I would like to know. But for now, I don't have Jitter to run your patch. I am very interested in understand your pfft patch.

Thanks.
