This is a method to populate a live.menu, since it cannot do it on its own. Several approaches came to mind, but this one had some advantages, namely the possibility to obtain everything a traditional umenu object can (filepaths, etc), since it depends on it.

anyway to transfer all umenu items into a live.menu? 

I change the format with a word processor. Didn't seem worth automating.
