strangely i couldn't find any thread about this... does anyone have a patch they could share on this?

there is m yand a few other approches not far from here in the forums. if you use the modulator output of "any" shepard generator for the speed of a clock, you already have what you want.

i tried letting the input of a shepard tone generator be the tempo and amp for a bunch of metros and clicks, but it sounds chaotic. I would like a quantised maybe polyrhythmic effect. I can send you what i have so far?
