shortcut for inserting object between two connected objects
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the shortcut for the following scenario. I knew it once, and forgot. Very frustrating.
The shortcut is for inserting a new object (b) between two objects that are connected by a patchchord (a-c). The patchchord doesn't get lost, but automatically changes to a-b-c.
This would save a lot of time patching. So please, let there be someone who reads this and knows.
Cheers,
Jane
select patchcord, then shift-n (on mac)
Is there a shortcut for the reverse, i.e. given a connection like (a-b-c), delete (b), but leaving (a-c) intact?
Holding shift while dragging objects in and out patchcords is the way to go. Note that this shortcut becomes active as soon as the input and outputs of the object (b) touch the patchcord.
select patchcord, then shift-n (on mac)
(no need for 'n' ...or maybe that was meant to read 'shift-n-drag' :D... for both add/remove on both win/mac)
Holding shift while dragging objects in and out patchcords is the way to go.
^ya this :)
