slow but not CPU hungry

Hi all!
a technical question...
I use overdrive, so numbers and graphical visualiazions are of course misleading (slower), but I can *hear* strong delays between actual inputs and outputs, so it's not only a graphical rapresentation: it is slow! But the global Mac CPU stays way beyond 30% usage. Do you have an idea about why that happens?

many thanks

Actual inputs and outputs of what, exactly?

What do your DSP vector size settings look like?

Mac or Windows?

inputs and outputs delays mean, for istance, moving a slider and having the patch processes run smoothly without delays of data manipulation. In my big patch it happens that as many MSP processes run at the same time, i see delays in the flow of data, kind of unresponsive... The fact (and the reason of this post) is that while as said it looks delayed a bit and unresponsive, the overall CPU usage is not high...

btw, vector size 1024, and mac mini latest
