Snapping and Popping with some VST Effects

I have both Pluggo and Hipno, and I notice that just a few effects make snapping and popping sounds, especially those that dive deep into some intense frequences and modulation. Has anyone experienced this? For instance, Drunken Sailor in Hipno does this. All my other VST work great, and I have a screamin' notebook with lots of RAM (2gig), Intel duo core processors (2gHZ X 2), plenty of buffer (set to 1024)...so it it is not a buffer or processing issue. I am using the Indigo IO soundcard, but I found that the snapping and popping occurs with other sound cards and notebooks as well, such as Soundblaster Audigy 2 for Notbook on a different notebook. The issue is less of an issue with Pluggo, but I noticed there is no forum for Hipno here.

A peer of mine said that he experiences the same with a few Hipno effects as well.

Thanks,

Kris

I believe the reply I had seen about this (can't seem to find it right now) went something like "Yeah, some Hypno patches do cause clicks and popps in the audio. considering how intense the manulation of the sound is, it's no surprize that some clicks would be introduced". Basically: Yup. True.

I am only (poorly) echoing a post I saw from someone else. If I find it again - I'll point you to it.

Vance is right.

Drunken Sailor glitches. In beta we discussed it a bit, and there is a thought to present a non-glitch version of the plug at some future point (with backwards compatibility mode)

Until then don't expect all of hipno to play all nice all of the time. It's not your hardware. It is a result of the extreme buffer mangling which is going on.
