sonograph

    Dear All, i am wanting a patch or external which enables me to load sound files which will then be displayed as a sonograph. I attempted altering the ready made sonograph patch that comes with max without any success as I am relatively new to max/msp. Any help/pointers would be great. Thanks, Paul.

      what i dont seem to be able to do is alter the example sonogram patch so that it displays more than 4 seconds of material....

      there is a problem with the spectroscope~ object in that it constantly updates itself. I am needing to save the spectrograms as image files for use in a piece of writing i am doing. i will also need to compare various sounds. and therefore compare the images...

      like what exactly? i know audiosculpt has one although i dont own that.. any free things lying around that you know off?

      check raven lite, specifically made for that and it is free.

      yes ive tried visible speech... although its rather slow and has a rather dated interface for liking!!! raven seems to be working just fine... thanks all!
