SoundFlower and Mountain Lion
Hi, I´m trying to send my audio output from Max/MSP to Logic Pro 9, but it seems that SoundFlower doesn´t work. I´ve tried with iTunes and other programs, but no way. Any idea?
Thank you very much in advance and best regards.
I had a similar problem after upgrading to Mountain Lion with Soundflower 1.6.6b. SoundFlower would not start. The icon would appear in the system tray then disappear again. Reinstalling SoundFlower didn't seem to help either.
I'm not sure if you're getting the same thing but this worked for me:
1. Unistall Soundflower using the uninstall script in Applications > Soundflower.
2. Delete all Soundflowerbed related plist files (I had three of them) from the User Library > Preferences folder.
Note that this folder is normally hidden. To view, click Go from the Finder menu then hold ALT. The Library folder should now appear in the list.
3. Reinstall Soundflower.
Hello, thanks for your reply. I have tried everything you say, but my problem is that it seems it doesn´t work. I mean: I choose Core Audio and SoundFlower (2ch) in Audio Options in Max/MSP. Then I choose SoundFlower (2ch) in Logic input... but there is no sound in Logic, it doesn´t receive the sound via SoundFlower. Any idea?
Thank you again and best regards.
You could try using 'Jack' instead.
Hello, thank you very much, but "Jack" doesn´t work either.
if you use the lastest beta of Jack it works very fine. 0.90 it is. If you are on 10.6 the previous version works too.
Hello, thanks for your help, but beta doesn´t work for me either. When I open Max it says that another device has changed the sample rate (both have the same sample rate and I can´t use it after that.
have you tried the hog mode in jack?
Thank you, in Hog Mode it seems work :-) I´ll look it, it´s not as easy to use as Soundflower, but if it works, it will be welcome! Sorry for my bad english.
Thank you very much again and best regards.
Hey there all...I am having the same problem. I've successfully used this program before but for some reason...when I'm using Ableton Live 9 and soundflower its not working. I even tried hooking it up using quicktime's audio record function and its not even recognizing and sound input. I've uninstalled it all and even the plist files but again, no success. Since I've used SF on this machine before I know it can work so I'd really love to get to the source of the issue with any help.
Anyone yet get Soundflower to work on OS 10.8.4?
Thanks.
