SPECTRAL MORPHING - What's on the market?
I'm not totally up to date, so I want to ask you, which tools for spectral morphing exist (not necesarily Max/MSP, as real-time is no must).
I have an idea in my head, which is based on a programme to morph between frames, which works something like this:
- looks at each pixel's colour on frame 1 and 2
- interpolates between colours
- writes interpolated pixel in a newly created frame A
- places frame A between frame 1 and 2
Soundwise I think of something like this:
- look at frequency bins' amplitudes of a Fourier-Analysis of window 1 and 2
- interpolate between amplitudes over a given amount of windows (time)
I'm not good in programming, so I'd very much welcome an easy to use external or a standalone/plug-in with a friendly interface.
However, any advice is welcome.
Thank you.
there's a thesis on spectral transformations using jitter https://cycling74.com/forums/share-sonographic-sound-processing-diss/
another possible tool : Audiosculpt from ircam, but expensive
