i made a patch for basic formant-filter vowel synthesis in max/msp. i'd love to see what else is out there in the world of max/msp speech synthesis.

you should definitely look into ircams ftm libary. there you will find the gabor objects ... and a fowels tutorial included.

Your vocal synth is awesome, and it hardly uses any dsp. I've used the gabor objects but they seem to use up a lot of dsp and sound about the same as your vocal synth.
