hello max proffesionals, i found no explanation for the option "Make Application Subfolder Search Path", wich can be set at the inspector of the standalone object.
i have found no information in the reference or the forum. perhaps someone from cycling74 can help ? thanks !

all subfolders are in the searchpath automatically.

thank you for the responses. now i get it ! the option at the inspector "Make Application Subfolder Search Path" is equal to the attribute "usesearchpath", which is in the ref.

this setting always confused me until recently. I used to think it added the whole of the application bundle folder as a search patch ...e.g.
      /Applications/MyApp.app/
but actually it makes the folder the app is in part of the search path, i.e.
      /Applications/

it would be great, if we could set the "usesearchpath" attribute in authoring mode. i tryed the "project" options in max6, which works well in authoring mode, but if i make an standalone application some meda were not found. especially java classes and javascripts.
my dream is making an application without copying files manualy into the package ...
it would also be great, if be we could build an application with one click. without choose collective or application. perhaps 2 seperate menu entries. one for collective, one for application. personally, i never build a collective.
