HI,
I am working on a VR project and i need a stereocamera module to work on. I have already found this dual lens USB cam: http://www.elpcctv.com/dual-lens-usb-camera-module-ov9712-color-cmos-sensor-p-236.html and i am wondering if anybody have already used it. Also i am curious if i can split the video channels from each lens.
Thanks in advance.

It looks like dual-lenses dual lens cameras output a single video.

From this, you would feed the video through jit.scissors. Open up Max and make that object, then look at the help file for it for an example.

Check it out this stereo camera - Tara. It goes beyond stereo image capture, this camera offers depth measurement, point clouds and disparity maps. Tara is based on two 1/3 inch MT9V024 Global Shutter CMOS sensors manufactured by OnSemi and can provide stereo vision at 60fps in uncompressed format. It comes with a Software Development Kit, complete with the source code, so developers can use the camera and develop their own applications to suit their particular requirements.
