i am trying to do a "stompbox" effect, which the effect is only turned on while i am holding down a specific key.

The problem i am running into is that i want to be able to go back to the dry signal once the key is no longer being held. Right now the dry signal is always on, which is what i don't want (i'm sure it's some pre-show patching that has me spacing out)

i am forgetting the name of what i am looking for, so it was hard to search on the forum for this topic. Please enlighten me. Your help is greatly appreciated!!!
