Strange Logic thing...

I've written a vsti and find that, in Logic 7.2 (PPC), when I load the song, all my instruments/instances play fine, but I can't use the solo tool. That is, until I open the pluggo window of one of the instances -- it makes a little hiccup, then from that point on the solo tool works as expected.

So, to try to make that clearer:

1) open Logic song -- vsti pluggos are loaded, but their actual windows are not open

2) play the song -- all's fine

3) select Logic solo tool -- solo-ed track won't play

4) open the pluggo window of that instrument/track... pause... a few sounds blurp out

5) try solo tool again, works fine.

Weird, huh? Anybody know what this is all about?

I have loadbangs in the pluggo, but the plug-in wouldn't play at all if they weren't loading with the song (and all tracks do play when the song first loads). Is there anything else that opening the pluggo window itself might do? Maybe someting around the fact that I have lots of java in the pluggo?

Not a huge deal, but a curious problem anyway.

eventually disabled or turned off some interfacing
object (like plugmidiin or plugout~ )?

Sorry Roman, you're reply is a little too fragmented for me... Do you mean that there's an interface element which remains inactive, or somehow partially active until the plug itself has focus? It seems like this may be something with Pluggo and Logic, in general, but I'm curious as to whether anyone else has experienced it.

The strange thing is that the plug plays properly using the normal play transport function, it just doesn't work with the solo tool.

I should also mention that, because plugsync~ support is so limited in Logic, I haven't done anything special with the transport...

Anyway, clarify please, if you feel so inclined.

This problem is actually a little more serious than I originally thought. I'm noticing now that after a period of work, with starts/stops, and so on, I'm eventually getting audio that seems to be "stuck" in my AU...(??) I know, that sounds strange, but sometimes, moving the transport, or opening a plugin's window, a bit of audio will burst out, as though a groove~ suddenly decides to play back when something neato happens in Logic. Has anybody experienced this? Is there something obvious I should look for?
