My LFO's are making a horrible sound I dont think I've got it hooked up correctly. I want my LFO's to have different waveforms but the problem i have is that the [rect~], for example, outputs -1.0 - 1.0, so how do i turn that into a range of 0 - 127?

For turning the -1 to 1 range into 0 to 127:

Though, note that this will give you floating point (decimal) output, due to the float inputs.

Meanwhile, what's the purpose of [snapshot~] in your patch? Why not run the signal from your LFO all the way to the [*~]?

So how do I scale the output of a cycle object? There doesn't seem to be any other way to do it other than what I have here..

Modulating at the control rate with snapshot~ is what's causing that

clicking. You can't use [scale] this way, but with some

not-too-difficult arithmatic you can get most results needed:

There are always a handful of approaches in Max. You are already 

scaling the output of your audio rate cycle~ with *~. The same applies

Like what? You've posted me back the same code by the looks of it.

Instead of modulating the phase (which is what you're doing here), had you considered the possibility of using the basic traditional materials for FM (I'm including a sample here, but there's more in those FM tutorials in MSP I'm sure you've looked at)? There's no reason that you've got to stick with cycle~ objects, and no compelling reason you have to run the stuff at audible ranges, either. Lovely way to churn out interesting complex waveforms with a minimum of effort.
