suckah issue on new mac

Hi,

I've just got a new quad core i7 and am having a problem with suckah.

It's placed over a jit.pwindow and this always used to work in this patch. However, right now it only sometimes gives what appear to be correct values. Most to of the time the values seem fairly arbitrary or are all zero.

Any thoughts / any confirm this?

Thanks

Alex

Hi Alex,

Seems to be working here. Post a patch?

Another thing, which of the two graphics cards are you using?

I am having the exact same issue. Just got the new mac today. Suddenly my suckah has gone crazy. Spent the last hour trying to figure out if I messed up the code or suckah settings. It's just giving out seemingly random results. Intel i7, Intel HD Graphics 3000/AMD Radeon HD 6750M

This has come up a few times, and have yet to find the culprit. Maybe Alex could comment further if he fixed the issue. It may be related to switching between the two graphics cards, or some other driver errors. Try seeing of playing with the graphics cards settings helps at all.

Well I noticed that when I started it with while on my battery and before I began playing video, it is working fine. So I'm going to assume this meant I was not on the AMD Radeon, and thus that is the culprit. I don't think there is any way to mess with the graphic card settings. However, if I disable the auto graphics switching, which forces the Mac to always use the Radeon, then it still is working fine. Seems to perhaps depend on what the mode is when Max is started up.

Hi Cody,

Thanks for the details on what you are seeing. Unfortunately, at the moment we don't have any suggestions for working around the issue, but we will take a closer look.

Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.

Hmm total bummer, however thank you for at least trying to figure it out. Please let me know if there is any way I can supply you with some help in figuring out the bug!

Just an update, perhaps I've just been having bad luck since before it would work some of the times, but I cannot get suckah to work at all since upgrading to Lion. Not good :(

I just used the program gfxCardStatus to force my Mac onto either integrated or discrete graphics cards. In Lion, both are completely incompatible with suckah. However, since the upgrade to Lion, suckah no longer gives out seemingly random values from before, but now only outputs "0. 0. 0. 1."
