I know that I can sync a groove~ with a transport, using the "followglobaltempo", "originallegnth", "lock" etc...

What I cannot do properly is keep in sync a part of a file (setting loop start and end points to groove~).

I have the global transport set to 4/4, and a drumbeat file that is 4/4 but has a bit of silence at the end.

I want to play only part of the file (e.g. exclude the silenced part) and keep it looped and in sync and locked with the global transport.

Any thoughts on how I should approach the issue?
