If I remember right, theres a different file for osX, check the electrotap website or read the readme including with the tap.tools distrobution. It should say something the differences between the two platforms and what the librarys name is and such.

Hi Tim,

i already looked at electrotap.com, but the link you send me contains an empty blog ? no FAQ answers to find.... I have only tried from windows with Iexplore... i tried for 3 days now....

Can you tell me the answer here ? i guess all i need to know is where to place tap.tools.dll ?
i don't have any doubts about what to do within max, everything is included in build.....

does your link work on your comp ??

Tap.Tools objects rely on a shared library in order to do their work.
The instructions for what to do with this shared library differ based on
your platform.

MacOS X

In Tap.Tools 2.1 and earlier, this library is a .shlb file located in
the Max application folder. For the Pluggo engine to access it, you must
copy this file into the following folder

/Library/CFMSupport

In Tap.Tools 2.2 or later, this library is a .framework file located
inside of the Max application bundle itself. To find it, you can
ctrl-click on the Max application itself and choose “Show Package
Contents”. Then inside of the Contents folder there will be a Frameworks
folder. Copy the Tap.Tools framework from this folder into the following
folder

/Library/Frameworks

Windows XP

On Windows the library is a .dll file located in the ‘support’ folder
that is inside of the Max folder. You will need to copy TapTools2.dll
from this support folder to the following location

C:Program FilesCommon FilesC74 Plug-in Supportsupport

Once you do this, then the objects should load fine just as would any
other object.
