Templates and Styles
Has anyone tried the new Template thing together with styles? I saved a template 5 times, neither does it appear in the template list nor will a new patcher have the layout that I have created. I do this:
I place objects and change their style, after all object-types (messages, toggle, etc) are "stylized" I also stylize the patcher itself, then I refine ma styles, then I go to "Create Template", give it a name, click on "Default for new patchers" and click on save. = Nothing. Any idea, where the mistake is? Thanks.
@Ullstein
This is due to a bug that prevents the very first Template from appearing immediately when saving it. We are on that. In the meantime you can fix this by restarting Max and the template should be found. Additionally saving new templates should work as expected from that point on.

Thanks Florian. Yes it works after restart. BUT: Please bring back borderlines (of course with colors, so that one can avoid them, if wanted). It is so difficult to read the objects without. Plus the MAX4 style objects with these hard edges, well I know taste is a difficult thing, but it looks clumsy when you put several objects together. 6 was more elegant.
Oh one more thing: the button: the blinking art is so small that even with bright yellow one almost does not see it. Is it possible to make this area bigger?
@Ullstein
Great to hear it's working for you now and thanks for your feedback on the styles. We took note and will consider it during future development of the Max 7 interface.
Beforehand: Max is my favorite program.
But: Objects with borders around(!) (like Max6) are much more better to read.
In Max7 the objects as items become indistinct.
In my own template I fill the borders and the backgrounds of the objects with the same color. So the items are better to keep apart – but it is not a attractive design.
And: I prefer objects with a slightly curvature.
Max7 looks harshly.
Sorry!
