Is it possible to align text vertically in Max MSP without having to first create a picture of the aforementioned text and then importing it?

I have a labelling object written in JSUI which can display rows of
text in three directions (up, down, L-to-R) and three alignments
(left, centre, right), and has other goodies like font selection, RGB
colours, a degree of ubumenu compatibility, and pattr support.

I know what you're going to say, and yes I will, once I'm out of my 7-
day-a-week 12-hour-a-day rehearsal schedule... Feel free to nag me in
a week or two if I've not announced anything.

Indeed.

I recently used [jit.mgraphics] with a message like "move_to 30 100, rotate -1.5708, show_text "vertical please", rotate 1.5708".

Jsui! No need to put pwindow into a patcher just for rotated text. It takes you 1 day to read the docs and put it together. Pretty fast compared to waiting 17 years ;)
