I am trying to get a feed of two textedit objects into another textedit object. New sent data from the two textedit objects should produce a new line. However when connecting the first outlet of each of these to the inlet of the textedit object no data is sent. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to add a ME: before what ever is written and I have done that by using 'ME: $1'. That works fine, however it is only accepting the ME: and one letter. So I have tried adding a load of $1 $2 $3 etc but if there are only two words for example I get a ME: word 0 0 0. Is there a way around this?
